When gigging musician Noah is fired from his mind-numbing job touring as a member of the backing band for an Australian 90s pop icon, Noah reluctantly returns to Sydney. Once back, and with nowhere to stay, Noah finds himself unexpectedly swept up in a new world; the world of The Deaf Club. This unlikely romance is a welcome distraction from the isolation that awaits Noah at his mothers home. Through meeting new romantic interest Alex; the manager of the local deaf club and an Auslan advocate, Noah must challenge his own perceptions of what it is to connect with another human being without having a shared language to fall back on. Through meeting Alex, Noah learns more about himself and his place in the world.Avery-Jackson
